Hi all,
My TivoHD died today after many great years of service. I got the flashing green light, no TV output. Looks like a power supply issue, but honestly, I don't care why it failed... I'm not going to repair it. Instead, I am upgrading to a Premiere 4 as its replacement.
I have a LOT of shows on the TivoHD's disk. Assuming the disk is still good, I'm looking for advice on how I can transfer all recordings to the Premiere 4. Further, while I've got the Premiere 4 opened up for this recovery, I'm going to upgrade the disk.
What is a safe/good way to go about this? I have a Linux PC standing by, and am willing to do pretty much anything, so long as I only mount the TivoHD disk and the original Premiere 4 disk as read-only.
Thanks for your help!
